| A Message from Our Chairman
Dear Friends,
Now that I have spent over a quarter of a century devoting my career to the fight against eye tumors and macular degeneration, I have witnessed how these diseases drastically alter the lives of patients and their families.
When I realized that there was little educational information and support services available for my own patients and others, I knew we had to create world-class resources for all patients with eye cancer and macular degeneration.

In 1998 my dream came true when I established The EyeCare Foundation. Since that time we have provided reliable information and genuine support. That support has come from other patients, for they truly understand what it is to have eye cancer and macular degeneration. Since inception, The EyeCare Foundation has grown to become the leading non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of eye cancer and macular degeneration patients worldwide. We have served millions of patients around the world.
Thank you for visiting our newly enhanced web site! See all the successful research projects we have supported. I encourage you to support our continuing efforts. Make a difference in the lives of patients, offer others the gift of sight and the gift of life.
Sincerely,
Paul T. Finger, MD

The EyeCare Foundation History
Established in 1998, The EyeCare Foundation is an educational and supportive resource for eye cancer and macular degeneration patients, their families, and physicians. Our mission is two-fold; one part focused on multi-centered research of new diagnostic treatments for macular degeneration and eye cancer research, the other focused on providing much needed patient support services.
We understand that an eye cancer and macular degeneration diagnosis can be overwhelming. It is for this reason that we provide two highly utilized web sites for patients and their families: The Eye Cancer Network and The Macular Degeneration Network.
